Winter tire timing is less about a single calendar date and more about temperature, commute, and how busy tire season gets. Once cold mornings become normal, shops can fill up fast.
Call with your tire size or your year, make, model, and trim. If the shop needs to source tires, that call gives the counter a better starting point than “do you have winters?”
If you already own mounted winter tires, say whether they are on rims. If they are loose tires only, the job usually needs mounting and balancing, not just a wheel swap.
